The Spanish contractor Makiber (ACS group) has finished the construction of this new hospital, which marks a major social development for the country. The project has been backed by the Republic of Angola’s Ministry of Finance and will significantly enhance region’s inhabitants’ life quality, as it improves the provision of health services.

Located five kilometres south of Kuito, capital of the province of Bie, this new hospital will provide services to approximately 1 million people, from the municipality of Kuito and the surrounding area. The new health centre, inaugurated by the President of the Rep. Joao Lourenço, has more than 200 beds and will have about 500 professionals providing services in almost 20 specialties equipped with cutting-edge technology.
