Women in Africa reveals its 2021 talents!
This year, the Women in Africa (WIA) teams have multiplied the number of beneficiaries of their programme by 10, with the aim of supporting more than 10,000 women and indirectly contributing tothe creation of 100,000 jobs by 2030.
This initiative aims at promoting women's entrepreneurship in Africa by offering African women entrepreneurs, who have carried out a project with a high social impact, complete support through training, communication tools, and networking.
The jury announced a first selection of 540 finalists in September, selected from the 54 African countries and among over 4,000 applications. These women will be supported throughout the year by a training and mentoring programme. Among them, the jury selected 54 laureates during the online announcement ceremony on 29 October, who will benefit from an in-depth and personalized training programme.
Women, the central engine of African economies, are changing the future of the continent. Supporting and promoting their entrepreneurial spirit is a sustainable investment for African and international economies.
