Societe Generale is participating in the third edition of the RFI Challenge App Africa competition, which this year aims to promote the integration of new technologies in the field of sustainable development in French-speaking Africa. Open to all Africans and recently-launched companies from the continent, this competition rewards digital innovations that improve access to renewable energies and the development of sustainable agriculture.

This third edition of the competition aims to support the development of innovative digital services (websites, applications, SMS services...), in the respect of the environment and in the service of sustainable development.

Dedicated to girls' health and education, the first two editions rewarded a young doctor and computer scientist in Dakar in 2016 for his "Boquou" medical tele-expertise application and in Abidjan in 2017 Raissa Banhoro for "Lucie", her functional literacy application.

The three finalists will be invited to present and support innovation, stimulating and accompanying young companies and developers. Societe Generale, as well as Microsoft and Africa Global Recycling, accompanied by African incubators of innovative companies are also associated with the event.
