Best bank 2021 in Côte d'Ivoire

Euromoney, the benchmark British magazine for 50 years in the field of finance, announced on Wednesday July 14 the results of the Awards for Excellence, which reward the best banks by region and country. On this occasion, Societe Generale Côte d´Ivoire was honored with the prize for the best bank in Côte d'Ivoire (Best Bank in Côte d´Ivoire 2021).

The magazine notably underlined the importance of the Bank in the country: Societe Generale Côte d'Ivoire is by far the largest bank in the country by assets, its deposits increased by 18.5% in 2020, while its net banking income grew 9% to the equivalent of 240 million euros. In addition, its return on equity was 19%.

With this new award, Societe Generale Côte d'Ivoire confirms its leadership position in the leading economy of French-speaking West Africa and once again appears as a leading player in the Group's sub-Saharan network.

Established in 1992, the Euromoney Awards for Excellence were and were the first awards of their kind in the global banking industry. This year received a record number of presentations for national and regional awards of excellence - over 1,000.
