The "Afriqcare" project awarded at the RFI Challenge App
The 5th edition of the “Challenge App Afrique RFI - France 24” rewarded the Guinean Amara Diawara for his project “Afriqcare”, a platform intended for health professionals as well as Malian and Guinean patients, allowing consultation management and making appointments online, with the possibility of having access to a health book and an electronic vaccination record.
Open to all Africans and young businesses on the continent, this edition aimed to promote the integration of new technologies in the fight against epidemics in French-speaking Africa, by rewarding digital innovations (websites, applications, SMS services, etc.) to respond the needs of users during the onset of epidemics.
Thanks to the support of the partners of the Challenge App Afrique RFI - France 24, as well as African incubators of innovative companies, the winner won a grant of € 15,000 intended for the development of his project.
For the third year in a row, Societe Generale is a partner of the challenge and will support the most promising projects in their development.
Through this competition, RFI and France 24 wish to encourage and support innovation, by stimulating and supporting young African entrepreneurs and developers.
