Societe Generale awarded for its trade finance activities

Societe Generale won multiple awards during the 21st edition of the Trade Finance Awards organised by Global Finance.

The Group was named Global winner as Best Bank for Trade Finance in Emerging Markets for the second year in a row. 

Most of all, on the African continant, Societe Generale has been awarded Best Trade Finance Provider by the editorial board of Global Finance in the following countries: 

  • Algeria (Société Générale Algérie)
  • Burkina Faso (Société Générale Burkina Faso), pitched for the first time this year
  • Cameroon (Société Générale Cameroun)
  • Morocco (Société Générale Maroc) 
  • Senegal (Société Générale Sénégal) 

Societe Generale banks in Algeria, Cameroon, Morocco have been awarded for the fourth year in a row. 

For this new edition, Global Finance Magazine selected the World’s Best Trade Finance Providers of the year in 102 countries and eight regions of the US. 

The editorial board of Global Finance selected the best trade finance providers based on entries from banks and other providers, as well as input from industry analysts, corporate executives and technology experts. Criteria from choosing the winners included transaction volume, scope of global coverage, customer service, competitive pricing and innovative technology. 

Moreover, the Groupe has also been rewarded for its Trade Finace activities in France, Romania and for the Western Europe region, 

These awards demonstrate once again Societe Generale’s recognised expertise in trade finance activities, recognised for its excellence.
