Societe Generale awarded by The Banker magazine.
Societe Generale has been recognised as the Best Transaction Bank of the Year in Africa, in The Banker's Transaction Banking Awards 2021.
This award demonstrates the bank’s ability to support its clients in their digital transformation, in dematerialising their payments and offering them faster execution, secure processes and monitoring services.
It also highlights a capability to design ESG-driven solutions by developing a structured green trade finance programme for its clients.
The Group’s ambition is to continue to support the long-term growth of its clients in Africa and their involvement in the energy transition by offering them leading solutions and advisory approaches in the Green Trade Finance market and by actively supporting them in their Environmental & Social strategies.
According to The Banker jury "Societe Generale's pan-continental approach and support for green developments were highlighted, as well as the way in which the development of the host-to-host solution has supported the needs of smaller institutions and promoted the move to digital".
