A hackathon to imagine African smart cities

On the occasion of the Futur.e.s in Africa forum, held from October 26 to 29, Societe Generale and the HackLab Casablanca launch a hackathon to imagine and prototype solutions in the service of African smart cities, sustainable and inclusive.

After the success of the first edition, the forum reaffirms this year its goal to bring French and African innovative ecosystems to promote technological and commercial partnerships and encourage cross-innovation.

For this hackathon, launched in partnership with Cap Digital, the participants can take two challenges: create the bank of the future, capable of adapting to the major changes in society and exploiting digital and technological revolutions in cities and neighborhoods in transition; and develop solutions combining traditional knowledge and advanced technologies to combine agricultural needs and urban expansion in a sustainable way.

Six selected teams are invited to Casablanca, to the Futur.e.s in Africa meeting, to take part in a hackathon “In Real Life” from October 26 to 28.

The two winning teams will benefit from a program of an acceleration/accelerating program.
