Women In Africa Initiative and Working Ladies launch Working Ladies – WIA Hub in Kinshasa, Congo.

The Working Ladies – WIA Hub is the first Congolese startup accelerator made by and for women. Within this space, they can benefit from training, legal assistance, mentoring. The goal is also to make it easier for them to find investors and sponsors.

Behind this initiative is Patricia Nzolantima, an active Congolese woman entrepreneur, elected one of the 100 African Economic Leaders for Tomorrow by the Institut Choiseul. As ambassador of Woman in Africa, she made it possible for the Foundation to take part in her project.

The Working Ladies – WIA Hub will support women entrepreneurs in six areas: Innovation and New Technologies, Financial Technology, Renewable energies Products and Services (FMCG), Agribusiness (Processing and packaging), and Entrepreneurial Education (Legal, Financial, Coaching, Mentoring, Training).

The accelerator, located in the neighborhood GB in Kinshasa, is a place where women can find co-working spaces, private meeting rooms, a training room and a call center, which aim to help them meet the requirements of entrepreneurship.

Convinced that women play a fundamental role in dynamizing the entrepreneurship ecosystem on the continent, Societe Generale has committed alongside Women in Africa Philanthropy to foster women entrepreneurship in Africa.
