Societe Generale celebrates 60 years in Côte d'Ivoire

Societe Generale Côte d'Ivoire, the first subsidiary of the Societe Generale Group to be established in sub-Saharan Africa, celebrated its 60th anniversary in 1962.

This is an opportunity to recall the importance that Societe Generale attaches to the African continent and its sustainable development. The Group's long history in Africa bears witness to this attachment to the continent, with more than a century of presence in Morocco and nearly 60 years also in Senegal and Cameroon. 

In Côte d'Ivoire, Societe Generale is today the reference bank, leader on the Ivorian banking market and in West Africa. Present throughout Côte d'Ivoire with a vast network of branches and self-service areas, complemented by mobile branches, it supports all economic players and offers a full range of personalized products and services.

As part of its differentiation strategy, Societe Generale Côte d'Ivoire has set up a Private Banking branch, as well as a Maison de la PME, a space dedicated exclusively to supporting SMEs. The bank also has a trading room that integrates the foreign exchange activities of Societe Generale subsidiaries in the WAEMU zone, as well as a Structured Finance department, with a regional scope, for syndication or financing operations.
