This is an opportunity to recall the importance that Societe Generale attaches to the African continent and its sustainable development. The Group's long history in Africa bears witness to this attachment to the continent, with more than a century of presence in Morocco and nearly 60 years also in Senegal and Cameroon.

"Acting as a responsible bank is not limited to the financial dimension of our business: committing to society, in which we are essential players, is an integral part of our mission, and even more so on the African continent where we have a strong and historic presence."

Frédéric Oudéa, June 23, 2022, during an exchange with Simplon Côte d'Ivoire students.

In Côte d'Ivoire, Societe Generale is today the reference bank, leader on the Ivorian banking market and in West Africa. Present throughout Côte d'Ivoire with a vast network of branches and self-service areas, complemented by mobile branches, it supports all economic players and offers a full range of personalized products and services.

As part of its differentiation strategy, Societe Generale Côte d'Ivoire has set up a Private Banking branch, as well as a Maison de la PME, a space dedicated exclusively to supporting SMEs. The bank also has a trading room that integrates the foreign exchange activities of Societe Generale subsidiaries in the WAEMU zone, as well as a Structured Finance department, with a regional scope, for syndication or financing operations.
